We Have To Be Tolerant Toward Intolerance! by ProcrastinatingStill We Have To Be Tolerant Toward Intolerance! by ProcrastinatingStill
Tolerance of intolerance is cowardice-Ayaan Hirsi Ali

If your culture involves mistreating women, child abuse, etc. then it has no place in the modern world. Period. That stuff is best left in the past.

This defense often comes up when some people try to defend the barbaric practices of certain Muslim nations. 80% of Paki women are victims of domestic violence. Underage brides and female genital mutilation are still practiced in the Middle East. Let's not forget the Dhimmi system which denies non-Muslims the same rights as Muslims. Oh and there's also the death penalty for homosexuality. Some idiot even actually tried to defend ISIS' Yazidi genocide by claiming "it's their culture". For the record ISIS is killing Yazidis because they think Yazidis are Satanists. Should that be tolerated?

Nobody should be tolerant toward barbaric practices that violate the rights of other people. We don't tolerate bigotry in most big countries. Why should the weaker countries get a free pass?

Of course this stamp doesn't just apply to Muslim nations. It applies to all "cultures" that involve disgusting practices that violate the rights of others. In my eyes those "traditional practices" are no better than the lynchings of "uppity negroes" which was also a "traditional practice" in America at one point.

Most meat slaughters will be preformed via bolt gun, which destroys the brain in an instant, thus making it a humane death. Halal meat, however, practices cutting of the jugular vein, leaving the animal to suffer in it's last moments in a panic, gasping for air and twitching. Halal meat must be stopped.

All of the things on this list can be attributed to almost any religion, as you stated.

But many, especially in America, will ignore when it is done in the name of "Christianity".

What twisted bastard is trying to defend ISIS' genocides?

Also, I totally agree - tradition is bullshit, especially when it's used as a reason to continue to perpetuate oppression and violence.

The issue to me is secularization. I have known plenty of Muslims living in Canada who are secular, religion is their private business, they do not believe religion can justify violence to others. Secularization cured Europe of major religious conflicts and there still are many Christians in Europe but the society has pressed those of religious faith that secular rule of law is dominant, and eventually most Christians appear to have accepted that.

We can't tolerate ISIS, it must and will be destroyed; but the root cause of ISIS - un-secularized society - has to be forced to end by pressure from groups inside Islamic countries wanting secularization that are backed on the outside by countries demanding change towards secularization in the Islamic world given all that has happened with Islamic fundamentalist terrorism. It may take many years, but it must be done.

No, I'm serious. If we don't worship every thing they do, we can be treated to the following:

"It's their culture!"
"They do it because they have to!"
"Racist!"
"So you can do whatever you want but they can't?!?!?!"

We have caused the situation in the middle east with our past meddling in the area, starting with formation of the countries where conflicting ethnic an religious groups where forced in the same country, besides we help them, we supplied them with weaponry through the Syrian rebels (who were the ones who used the chemical weapons, not thier government, source:www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-… like we did with Al-Qaeda in the 80's to fight the soviets and with neo-nazi puppet government in Kiev right now to fight the Putin regime source:www.telegraph.co.uk/news/world….  Why? To protect the dollar, secure oil supplies, defeat the BRICS nations, a few which want to set up a currency to challenge the dollar, and just to crush any resistance to our master's interests in the areas, no war in history was ever about helping people, that is a lie.  This is really just a small amount of the abuses at home and abroad the America and NATO have done.

Don't tell me you're cheering this moron. When was the last time America mutilated the genitals of women and advocated the death penalty for "witchcraft"?

The Middle East is stuck in the fucking Middle Ages and it's all thanks to Islamism.

ISIS would have formed any way without U.S. intervention. ISIS formed due to RELIGIOUS FANATICISM not America. They even stated that they want to spread the word of God. They even think Yazidis are Satanists! If you think America caused that then you are blind. RELIGION caused that not America.  Besides people like ISIS were always present in the Middle East.

What ISIS is doing isn't new. Islamists have been waging war against the "kaffir" since Muhammad started raiding caravans.

American intervention created the power vacuum in the area that allowed for groups such as ISIS to become problems in the first place, along with funding rebels who had ties ISIS and Al-Qaeda who handed some of the weapons shipments over to them, I don't necessarily believe that the US directly created ISIS but they certainly have supported them in several, from what I have seen this seems purposeful but it's open to debate really.

Yes they were but, when we toppled the local regimes we left a power vacuum, which allowed these groups to increase their power and influence.

uhhh....ok, where do I start? "80% of Paki women are victims of domestic violence." well, I am pakistani and I have to say, THIS IS TRUE. But, it has nothing to do with culture or religion! In Islam, men are told to treat their wives well and domestic violence is an unforgivable and punishable sin! Middle east, does not practise underage marriage and mutilation commonly, very few people who ARE not educated or are 'ignorant' practise such things. If this was the case, I should already be freaking married to a 45 year old man and have parts of my vagina removed! and no, there is no 'Dhimmi system'. In many middle eastern countries, there's much diversity of religion (hinduism, christianity and buddhism etc.) and they even have the festivals carried out. In pakistan, Muslims get to celebrate eid and such festivals and other religions get to perform their religious practices too. ISIS is just a group of extremists who do not understand and misinterpret their own religion and its teachings but are NOT muslims at all! They practice suicide bombings and noting that that is already haram in Islam, they ARE not muslims! 'Some idiots' are the muslims who have been influenced and are living in fear. U hv no idea, every day terrorist groups walking past ur house, forcing u to follow what is the 'true Islam' and killing those who follow the real Islam. :( I do agree that cultures should not include such practices but associating that with Islam is wrong. Dhimmi system is not even cultural or religious! IT DOES NOT EVEN EXIST. Please get ur facts right before making stamps like these. Ur negativity against certain cultures is okay to me but the fact that u r placing religion into it is WRONG and irrelevant. I'm not trying to insult or belittle u. I am merely trying to inform u. Sry if I come across as rude...plz do understand my sincerity in this comment.

your statement is irrelevant. sorry.

ISIS is a group of men disguised as Muslims who kill, rape and beat up anything that moves. are you sure that the so-called `Quran` they claim to follow calls for the abuse of their fellow Muslims or any human being in general?the real Quran promotes unity and brotherhood amongst people from ALL walks of life.
